We are writing today to ask for your assistance. With the recent Register Guard articles on the closing of the U.S. SportsPlex, we are finding that many people are not getting correct information about our gymnastics business.

Thursday night was the Regional Team competition. The meet ran very long. Started at 5:30 p.m., and didn't finish until after 11:00! Ian had a good meet. He had his best scores of the year on the high-bar and pommel horse. He had some misfortune on the floor and vault and didn't score well on either to his disappointment as he had high hopes on these 2 events and warmed them up flawlessly. We are still awaiting final placement after the end of competition today, but it looks like he will finish… Continue

We made it to Ohio! The plane from Portland had a number of the other gymnasts from Oregon. Once we got to Salt Lake City we picked up even more gymnasts. It looked like about half of the plane were gymnasts and their families. After we checked into the hotel we tried to find something to eat, however all the restaurants in the area closed at 11:00 p.m. So it looks like pizza delivered to the room will have to do.

Ian, Rosen and myself will be traveling to Nationals on Tuesday. Opening ceremonies are scheduled for Wednesday evening with the first round of competition starting on Thursday. I will attempt to post a few notes about the daily activities, hopefully with some video if this all works well.
